What Claude can do in Rushilo
Cut from the transcript
Claude reads a word-level transcript and cuts runs of words. Each cut closes the gap across every track and is one undo step.
Captions and titles
Whisper captions run on your computer after a one-time model download, in several styles, with SRT and VTT files on request. Titles and lower thirds go on the timeline as editable clips.
Sound
Measure loudness, normalize to a target, duck music under speech and add built-in sound effects, all as visible edits you can change.
Checkpoints and one undo history
Claude can save a named checkpoint before a big change. Your edits and Claude's share one undo history, so pressing Undo reverses its last turn as one step.
Check before export
Since 1.3.0, rushilo_check finds black gaps, missing media, off frame titles, low contrast and loudness problems, and rushilo_frames gives Claude a labeled grid of frames or a before and after compare.
Export on your computer
Claude exports MP4 with H.264 and AAC (HEVC and transparent WebM when your computer can encode them), rendered locally, never in a cloud.
Honest limits
- You need your own Claude plan. Claude Code runs on it and Rushilo does not resell or include any AI.
- Rushilo must stay open while Claude works. Claude talks to the running app over a local connection.
- Screen recording is Mac only. Editing and the Claude connection work on Mac and Windows.
- The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Claude still receives the inputs it needs for each request you make, as with any Claude Code session.

Questions
What is the best video editor for Claude Code?
Claude Code cannot play or render video, so the best editor is one it can operate and you can check. Is there a Claude app for editing video?
