About Rushilo
Rushilo is a desktop video and image editor for Mac and Windows that your own AI drives.
What it is
You connect the AI you already use, such as Claude Code or Codex, other MCP apps, or your own API keys, and it edits on a timeline you can see. Rushilo ships no AI of its own and charges no AI credits, so there is no per-edit cost from us. See how to connect your AI and the release notes for what the editor does today.
Where the name comes from
Say it RUSH-ih-low. It comes from “rushes”, the film term for raw footage.
Local by design
Projects and media stay on your disk and keys sit in your system keychain. Rushilo has no telemetry. Captions can run on your computer with an on-device model after a one-time download. The Privacy Policy sets out what the website and licence system handle.
Who makes it
Rushilo is provided by PAVADO TECHNOLOGIES INC. It is founded by Om Patel, who also writes the research articles on this site. Releases are published in the rushilohq organisation on GitHub.
