What’s new in Rushilo

Every release, newest first. Rushilo updates itself in the background, and a new version installs the next time you restart it.

  1. The first release

Rushilo 1.0.0 is the first public release: a desktop video and image editor for Mac and Windows that your own AI drives, with a timeline you can watch and undo.

    New

    • Connect Claude Code with one command, Codex with a config block, or Claude Desktop, Cursor and other MCP apps with a JSON snippet, all copied from the Connect agent screen.
    • A built-in agent panel that runs your own Claude Code or Codex.
    • A timeline for video, audio, pictures and titles: split, trim, roll, slide, slip, speed from 0.1x to 10x, keyframes, dissolve and dip transitions, color LUTs and effects.
    • Word-level transcripts, made on your computer with Whisper or with your own OpenAI, Groq or Google Gemini key. Cut by selecting words.
    • Remove filler words and Tighten pauses in the transcript panel, each with a preview before it applies.
    • Captions in five styles: plain, word highlight, pop, karaoke and bold box.
    • Loudness measured in LUFS, one-step normalising to a target, automatic music ducking under speech, and an export limiter that keeps peaks under -1 dBFS.
    • Voiceovers from text with your own OpenAI, ElevenLabs or Google Gemini key, picture generation and editing with your own key, and background removal on your computer.
    • A board for planning: clips, notes and agent chats on one canvas.
    • Brand kit: watermark, intro and outro, and reusable templates.
    • Export to MP4 (H.264 and AAC) or audio-only M4A at the project size or 2160p, 1440p, 1080p, 720p or 480p, at 24, 25, 30 or 60 fps, in three quality levels.
    • One undo history for your edits and your agent's, named versions and autosave.
    • A licence for up to 3 computers, and updates that install in the background.

    Known limits

    • The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you the first time.
    • There is no screen or camera recorder yet, and no background noise removal.
    • Captions are burned into the exported video; separate SRT or VTT files are not in this release.
